Don't you just love fall? Well I know it is sometimes difficult to say goodbye to summer.........but, I sure am ready! Actually, I have been ready to usher in fall for several weeks now! I have been eagerly anticipating the crisp fall days, the leaves turning on the trees, football season, bonfires, Starbucks Pumpkin Lattes, cider, carmel apples, and Thanksgiving.
And this year I have been ahead of the game. Thinking and planning how to make my home cozy for the cooler temperatures and snuggling in at home. It has always been important to me for my family and friends to feel a warm welcoming atmosphere when they are in my home. This is reflected in the colors I carefully select for my decor, the fabrics used throughout the rooms, the accessories that reflect this personal statement.
So, I have been busy adding touches of fall throughout my house. I figured if I began my fall theme early this year, I would have three full months to enjoy this new season.
And to assist in my pursuit of fall, I attended a decorating class on fall mantles at one of my favorite new stores: The White Hare. The class offered demonstrations on creating 5 fall mantles & 20 % off your purchase oi any of the items used in the displays.
.Here's what we learned:
This mantle was called "Goin Nuts & Getting Squirrely" I guess squirrels are the new trend! The squirrels were stacked on books surrounded by a fall themed garland and numerous fall "floral picks."
This one was called "Simple Elegance" using candlesticks and these cool doves. I actually purchased two of these myself.
"Cooper Harvest." The majority of this display could be used for Christmas minus the pumpkins!
"Pumpkin Patch."
And lastly my favorite mantle "Falling For Fall." What are you going to do to fall in love with fall this season?
