Did I tell you that I am taking sewing lessons? Yup. private sewing lessons to be exact! Yes, I am finally learning to sew and use my Berdina Sewing Machine that I received as a gift from my father some years ago.
Actually, I googled sewing lessons in the St. Louis area and came up with an ad for a wonderful woman who was offering private lessons right near my home. So, I was over the moon with excitement because this was just what I needed. I typically do not like group lessons for certain things and sewing definitely was one of them. Seeing this ad made me take a leap of faith and call Alice who has given me several lessons so far.
The great thing about my lessons is that I can work on any project my heart desires. So far I have been working on two aprons and I'll give you a peek at the one I just received from Olive Juice & Company. I found this great kit club that offers an aprons and all the material/embellishments in one box. I was so excited when I received it in the mail last Thursday.
This beautiful package just about took my breathe away. It is awesome that this kit has just the perfect amount of material so that you do not have to go to the store & purchase more than you need! Hopefully following their easy instructions.........I will have a finished project that looks like this:
So hop over to the Olive Juice and Company Blog and check out what they have going on........... I am sure you will love it! Now, I am off to find a wool sweater to felt for Silver Bella.
Back with more details soon! Have a awesome day.

Have fun with your sewing! Its one of my favorite escapes. I can't wait to see your apron. It's hard to believe Silver Bella is less than 2 weeks away.
See you there!
