I love this vintage looking radio/cd player. It sits on the counter in my kitchen. It pumps out the tunes that inspire my soul-some Marvin Gaye, Brian McKnight, Luther Vandross.
Why does music have such a magical effect on us. It can set a mood, inspire, cause reflection, bring happiness, and make us sad! It is amazing how powerful music can be.
Sometimes when I am in church I am just as moved by the music and I am by the sermon. There is one song of christian commitment that our choir sings that almost always brings me to tears. The words say "I am going all the way with the lord." This song touches me in the deepest part of my being. To me the words state that we need to walk with God in all aspect of our lives. Surrender to him in all things-that's going all the way. It is difficult to do that-if we are strong willed, used to being in charge, or not accustomed to surrendering to his will.
When I realize that he brought me through the most difficult times in my life and made everything okay-I know that I have to trust him in everything and let him guide my life.
