Never in my life did I imagine that I would decorate my home with seashells! I guess that's what happens when you move across the country to a new foreign/tropical paradise!!! I was telling my dad the other day, that when you live in Florida- you stay inside in the summer.
It is so hot here, that you run from your car to the air conditioning. I am so grateful to be home(in a cool house) after I have been out in the steamy heat. So, Florida is kinda like living in Minnesota. In Minnesota, you stay inside in the winter months-and go out only when you have to. In Florida, the winter months are the best months- when it is beautiful and pleasant. Hmmm.............
The seashell theme is not my usual decorating style. I have a few seashells and coral displayed throughout my home. Coral is very popular in decorating-you see it everywhere from stores to magazines. Pottery Barn has been one of the biggest fans! But, I prefer the real stuff........and a little goes a long way-don't you say?
Since we are in our rainy season-there are plenty opportunities to get soaking wet. Camille has taken to wearing her hair curly. She gets rained on all the time when she is walking to class. I cannot imagine sitting through a college lecture soaking wet.
On our visit to campus, we saw a lots of students going barefoot because their flip-flops were making them slip/slide in rain. It was nasty down pour on our visit to campus. Unfortunately, I was unable to take any pictures of the campus. All we saw were wet students and raindrops!
Camille finally was able to get out of her off-campus apartment lease. Thank You! I cannot believe how many hours we spent dealing with that issue. Teenagers don't realize that when they make quick decisions there are consequences. And because of their decisions how much of our time was consumed with the repercussions. Now, all Charlie has to worry about is her living on campus in a residence hall filled with football players. (Not good)!!!! He was one of those too, you know!!! So he knows what the deal is-all too well..............
