Hooray, my yard is being landscaped / undergoing a massive clean-up! My yard was so bad when we purchased the house that I was embarrassed to post pictures. But now, thanks to the cutest guy (Juan) and his crew, my surrounding are looking respectable. I better stop thinking about how cute Juan is because my dad said his wife showed up over here today!!! She might be getting the "Desperate Housewives Vibe." Ha, Ha, Ha!
The whole neighborhood has been commenting on how much better things are shaping up. I even got cookies delivered by a sweet neighbor Paula who I met yesterday. She is from Michigan and Paula & her husband attended The University of Michigan. So, Charlie and I are the Michigan State couple and they are the UM couple.
My neighborhood is an older one with lots of retirees. Our house sits on the corner of our street that winds down closer to the lake. Most of these houses have or are being renovated so everyone is curious about our house. I will be glad when our window shutters arrive because everyone can look straight into the front of our house now that the trees have been trimmed away. And most importantly, the doggies see everyone walk by so there is constant barking all day long. So we're making some progress in our household. I am actually really starting to like this house because of the character it offers. I will post pictures soon when I get all the clutter is out of the way. Today I'll give you a sneak peak of the front of the house & some updated photos soon. Here goes:
Jungle isn't it? Need I say more?!?!!
I have been in the process of getting my craft room together. I have soooooooooo much stuff; but, I am working on it. Believe it or not I have begun working on making my Christmas cards! Yes, I did say making. Trying to make things more meaningful this year amidst unpacking and setting up my home. I've got to spend a little time being creative, you know? My right hand man-Lenny left today and even the doggies are sad. He has been here almost a month and we didn't accomplish everything on my list but we had a great time. I think Charlie really liked having him here even though he was at work most of the time. So, I must go it alone for now and get ready for Thanksgiving. Did I mention that I am hosting it this year. Better get a move on and get this house together. Ciao for now....................
