I am so in love with Heather Bullard holiday gift wrapping ideas on her blog Past Present Collection/Inspired Vintage Living. She has some awesome ideas for using vintage materials to make your presents unique. As soon as I saw Heather's post I had a million ideas swirling in my head. Now, I will have to figure out how to make the time to make all these great things.
Several weeks ago before I went to Silver Bella one of my best girlfriends-- Regina came to Seattle to visit me from Michigan. We did a lot to exploring and shopping and had just plain girly girl fun. So of course that included shopping, visiting Pikes Place Market, and Whidbey Island. I wanted to share a few photos of the neat places we visited.
Our first stop on Whidbey Island was Anacortes. We went to a fabulous antique store Days Gone By where I purchased a few things that I needed for Silver Bella. It was the most organized non-junky store with great finds.
Next we ventured to a home decor store called Maison Jardin.
There was plenty to see inside this store and lots of holiday decorations and ideas.
I have a buffet in my dining room almost exactly like this.
Of course I was sneaking and taking pictures of these gorgeous ornaments.
This is one of the store's many Christmas trees. The shoppe was decorated in sections by a specific color scheme. I love the lampshade on the ceiling fixtures and the mirror.
Next we went to Wildflower Home and Garden that was a sweet store.
Then we were off to Deception Pass with its spectacular view.
It wasn't very clear that day due to rain the previous three days.
I tried to get Regina closer to the water but she was afraid of heights.
So we continued along our adventure across the bridge to drive to Coupeville.
We found more great shopping in Coupeville, plus this great shot of the town and the water.
Then it was time to take the ferry back home before dusk.
And here we are back to Mukilteo.
Lisa
That looks like a wonderful trip! That Pass shot was stunning! Regina, I think next time you should suggest to Lisa you would love to take her picture closer to the water.. :-) Lisa, your parking spot seems a bit edgy........ Okay, I am off to check out the wrapping site. Happy night!
