Believe it or not........... there is light. Light at the end of a very long tunnel that I have been traveling for the past few weeks! I made it and I am here in St. Louis! So happy that everything has come together almost flawlessly. As I mentioned in the previous post I traveled from Phoenix to Seattle to meet the movers who would pack up my home there. I was blessed with an awesome team of fellows that were so efficient that they finished the move a day early. They showed up at my door ready to get down to business.
The movers packed up everything in two days and had it loaded on the truck a day early. And believe it or not we filled this truck to the brim.
I decided to take a few pictures of our home for the past two years before the house was dismantled.
This is the picture of the house when we first bought it. The house was in much need of care stuck in the 70's with purple shag carpet no less. The previous owner even had a rake she used to rake the carpet..... I'm not kidding so please don't die laughing. In the bathroom medicine cabinet, she left a note telling me not remove the medicine cabinet with one of those smiley faces wearing a frown!!! Kinda spooky........but, remove it I did!
This is a picture of the house when we first purchased it.
This is our home today as we say goodbye!
Here is a peek into the inside of the original house.
and after.........
A home that was stuck in the 70's that we gave our own personal touches......
So believe it or not.......I was a little sad to say goodbye to a home that had our personality stamped all over it.
Lots of memories left behind. But time to make new beginnings and memories on this journey we call life. And now our home has been sold to family that really loves it. What more can a person ask for?
Congratulations on your move (& sale of your home!) Can't wait to hear more about your "new" life :)

Wow, Lisa! You guys did do a lot of work! It was beautiful. I would be sad to leave it too. But the new house in St. Louis looks just as beautiful if not more! Have fun. Now you get to relax a little and decorate!
Hugs, Tricia
